Supreme Kings FA emerge Champions of Abia Five-aside League


Supreme Kings FA of Umuahia today at the Umuahia township made headlines as they became the first club to clinch a Five-Aside league trophy in Abia state and Nigeria.

The Academy dominated the Umuahia centre of the maiden Edition of Five-Aside league to emerged second, to be among the team that will compete for the title with their counterpart from Aba centre. 

Below is the break down of how the Academy  got Crowned Champions of maiden Edition of Five-aside tourney in Abia state and Nigeria.

In a keenly contested Finals at the Umuahia township stadium with many dignitaries and people from all walks of life in attendance saw Supreme Kings FA dominate play till the final whistle.

It was lethal striker Ifeanyi Iroakazie who opened the flood gates of goals with a clinical finishing to make him the highest goal scorer of the tournament with twelve (12) goals. 

Supreme kings FA city rivals (Agama FA)  huffed and puffed at the defence of line of Supreme kings FA marshalled by Captain fantastic Stephen but the experience duo kept cool head and defended stoutly to ensure a clean sheet.

The opponents payed dearly for their Profilgacy in front of goal as a counter attack orchestrated by Chukwudi Ikpoto led to an own goal that buried the game for Suprem Kings FA

The Supreme Kings FA lads who were more composed didnt fail to thrill the mamoured crowd with their breathtaking possessional  game which gave rise to tiki-taka style which left the excited fans with no option than to applaud Supreme kings lads for their entertaining brand of football 

Okechukwu Junior added  icing to the cake as he finished off Ifeanyi Iroakazie effort to make the scoreline (3:0).

The Organising Committee of the tournament at the blast of the final whistle handed certificate of attendance to the registered players, coaches as well as a Trophy and cash prize.


The club president whose joy knew no bounds extolled, praised and celebrated his lads for making him proud by clinching the first trophy for the club in their  first engagement in a competition.

“I am a happy man today not because of the trophy but because my boys expressed themselves in the field of play which led to the convincing victory over Agama FA. 

Agama FA is a very strong side in Abia state grassroot football that was why I prepared my boys as if we will be playing aganist Real Madrid and they thus adhered to my instruction and that was the result we have today”.
